The request for projects

2005

The Council of the CardioMet Centre launched a call for projects during its inauguration on October 5, 2005.

Thirty projects were submitted to the Executive Committee of CardioMet initially endowed with CHF 500.000.-. Each of these projects was attributed with a reporter, member of the Scientific Council of CardioMet, charged with carrying out a critical analysis of the project with assistance, if necessary, from internal experts. These projects were then discussed during two plenary sessions of the Scientific Council and classified based on the assessments received and discussions within the Board.  After this procedure, the Board of CardioMet accepted on the 20 April 2006, an increase in the global endowment for 2005 projects to CHF 630.000. - so as to finance (partially or totally) eleven priority projects.

The Scientific Council of CardioMet will evaluate the project selection procedure used for this first series of projects.  Any eventual modifications will be applied to the next request for projects in 2006.

The project selection applied during this first request for projects will be the subject of a critical evaluation by the Scientific Council of CardioMet. Possible modifications will then be applied to the request for projects for 2006.
